Design Guidelines

some ‘design guidelines’ from Residential Architect magazine, Feb 2005

  • A good design starts with good site consideration. This is where energy efficiency starts!
  • An architect will help you find the right design by exploring the opportunities with you
  • I’m very aware of opportunities for energy conservation; utilities, water, materials.
  • First! Think in terms of a space efficient smart project.
  • I really do study architecture all the time. There’s a good chance we will discover something you didn’t even know you wanted, and make it even better, with less.
  • I enjoy the process, I hope you will too. As it is with anything; some of it is hard work, some of it seems like play.
  • Always bring your sense of humor and patience.
